Posted by yellow on March 19, 2011 Dream Home

Olson Kundig has created the Pierre house on San Juan Islands, United States which features a house that hidden in the stone bush. From a certain angle, the Pierre house by Olson Kundig displays a visual of coarse material that uses stone, green roof and foliage surrounding as if it almost disappears into the wild.

The function room on the main floor is used as a kitchen open to dining room and living room. A large pivoting steel and glass doors open used as access to the terrace is open. To set the house far into the site, part of the outcropping rock dug through the machine work and handwork. The stone was re-used as aggregate in the concrete floor cracked.
