This additional modern architecture details were added to bring the modern house into the 21st century. Group 41 was retained to assist the owners in the extremely complicated Planning approvals process to legalize the barn as a single family dwelling. The design of the barn incorporates wide plank flooring and sliding doors reminiscent of barn design, as well as the board and batten siding and windows that reflect the exact style of the original structure as required by the Planning Commission. This front house, badly converted to two units many years ago was reconverted to a gracious single family home, reviving its original Edwardian character with elegant detailing, and retaining some of the original elements.
