Contemporary Modern Home by Johannsen Architects
This Modern Contemporary home designed by Johannsen Architects. The challenge for this project is to create a contemporary family home design which is relatively low and strict maintenance of economic, irregular site. The solution is simple design that expands the long, contracts, and curve according to the interior design and built form that responds to the changing shape of the site. With a protected central courtyard, shaded terrace and a sunny swimming pool loggia, outer space is open to various parts of the site and park. Passive heating and cooling and natural ventilation to help reduce the use of A / C, and solar pool heaters and 24,000 L rain water tanks have been integrated into the house this large family.
Both townhouses replacing the warehouse bum on the street in Sydney’s leafy inner west. What appears as a simple infill from the terrace typology, proved to be a series of home interior space light and airy contemporary living and sleeping space is planned around the pool.
