Modern Art Parker Glass Water Sclupture from Swon Design

Posted by admin on July 6, 2010 Architecture Design

The Modern Art Parker Glass Water Sclupture from Swon Design view from the top floor of the building illustrates how the shape of the sculpture fits within the granite pond and allows viewers different perspectives as they move around the piece. The glass sculpture was designed for four seasons. It can withstand the rigors of cold, snow and high winds. The sculpture is a statement of form, movement and the relationship of art and engineering. Each individual element is constructed of textured and slumped 1/2 inch thick glass panels that are structurally secured with a stainless steel frame. The glass panels are lit during the evening hours with led lighting allowing for a diverse palette of colors.
